Login Steps

First you MUST change your default password in either Office 365 (student email) or on a Student PC

It will take 48 hours after completing your enrolment for your account to become active in all our online systems. 

Access the North Metro Website 

https://www.northmetrotafe.wa.edu.au/

  • Go to 'Current students'
  • Click on 'Student Portal' under Quicklinks

On a mobile device:

  • Go to 'Current students', then 'Online systems' 

 

Login to the Student Portal (CiAnywhere)

                     Student Portal

 

Username:          Student ID Number
Password:           Your Password 


The dropdown menu beneath the password field defaults to Domain. You do NOT need to change it. 
However, if you are unable to log in we recommend that you try the other options in the dropdown. 

Either: ID or TAFE   

Complete any Tasks Due

 From here you can access your results, re-enrol and change your details. But first, check if your 'My Tasks' icon has a number in red. If it does, click on it to find out what tasks require your attention. 

 

Password Expiry

Your password will expire every 90 days - you MUST change it before it expires or you will be locked out of all our online systems. There is a countdown in Blackboard that tells you how many days you have to change your password.

You can change your password on a Student PC by using CTRL+ALT+DELETE and choosing Change a Password. 

Or via the settings in Office 365 (student email) - click on the settings cog in the top right hand corner of your Office 365 account and choose change your password

What is the Student Portal ?

The Student Portal is an online system for managing your enrolment at North Metropolitan TAFE.



What is the Student Portal used for?

You can use Student Portal to do the following:

  View your results

  ‚ÄčUpdate personal records

  Re-enrol 



What is Student Portal not used for?

North Metropolitan TAFE has a number of systems you will need to use during your studies.

   Want to view your course material or submit an assessment? That's Blackboard

   Want to send an email or view your timetable? That's Office 365 (student email)

 


Tip


You will be required to change your password every 90 days. You can do this either on a Student PC or through Office 365. Otherwise, visit your campus Library and staff will assist with changing your password.
