SuperSearch: Introduction

Why use SuperSearch?

SuperSearch provides a single search box for you to quickly and easily:

  • find items on the shelf such as books, DVD's, journals etc.
  • find and view ebooks, journal articles, and more
  • limit your resources to online resources or held in the library
  • save content to your personal folder

What Am I Searching?

Databases

  • These are subscribed to by the Library and the majority are accessible in SuperSearch. 
  • To limit results to online articles only, select 'electronic articles' in the search box drop down menu before running a search.

Library Catalogue

  • To limit results to Library items only, select 'local library' in the search box drop down menu before running a search.
  • Items that the library holds will have either a location and call number information, or a link to the full text online version.

Why Sign Into SuperSearch?

By signing in you can:

  • Access the majority of the library's licensed resources
  • Set your search preferences for current and future sessions
  • Add items you found and your search queries to your personal folder
  • Use library services, such as requesting items and checking your library borrower account

Do not forget  to log off if using a public computer.

How do I Sign In?

Students - use your on campus student network login (student ID and password)
Staff - Staff network login (Staff ID and password)

On Campus Access
When on campus you have immediate access to the full text content.

Off Campus Access
When off campus you will be prompted to sign in with your campus computer network login before viewing the full text content. You will remain signed on for the session.

Do not forget  to log off if using a public computer.
