Dietary Intakes of Professional and Semi-Professional Team Sport Athletes Do Not Meet Sport Nutrition Recommendations-A Systematic Literature Review (2019)
The variable nature of team sport exercise requires use both anaerobic and aerobic systems to fuel performance. Each team sport and position within the sport, depending on the nature of training and competition, will have unique energy demands and nutrient requirements. Search Strategy Five electronic databases including Medlars International Literature Online, Sports DISCUS, Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Web of Science, and Scopus (World’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature) were searched to investigate the dietary intake of professional and semi-professional team sport athletes by one researcher.
